Dr. Grow is a clinical psychologist specializing in individual therapy with
children, adolescents, adults, couples and family therapy, as well as
hypnosis. He maintains a private practice in Westminster, Maryland.
Dr. Grow completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at the University
of Maryland. He attended graduate school at Argosy University, Washington
D.C. After completing his doctor of psychology, he held a private practice
at Villa Maria, an outpatient community mental health clinic in Westminster,
Maryland. While working with Villa Maria, he became the first mental health
practitioner to hold an office within a school (East & West Middle
Schools and Robert Moton Elementary). He became aquainted with the Carroll
County School System policies and procedures for special education. He
consulted with these schools and parents to identify the best service for
his clients. He accepted a commission in the US Navy as a clinical
psychologist in 2008. Dr. Grow was stationed at the National Naval Medical
Center as a staff psychologist and member of the APA accredited psychology
residency program. In summer 2009, he was deployed to the Combat Stress
Clinic at Camp Liberty, Baghdad, Iraq. Upon returning to NNMC, he was
appointed the service chief for the psychological health and traumatic brain
injury consult liaison service. This was a multidisciplinary team tasked
with providing psychological evaluations and traumatic brain injury
screenings on all returning wounded warriors and coordinating mental health
services for their family members as necessary. Dr. Grow's last tour of duty
was teaching psychology to the Midshipmen at the US Naval Academy. In
addition to his teaching responsibility, Dr. Grow maintained his clinical
skills treating clients in the student counseling center and the mental
health clinic. In 2013, he opened a part-time private practice in
Sykesville. In April of 2014, he opened a full time private practice in
Westminster.
Welcome to my website and my practice. About twenty years ago, I joined the
military to see the world and it brought me all the way to Maryland. This
was fortunate because this is where I am raising a family and am happy
